So we go to Lowes...because they have kids workshops...and Ross asks almost every time we go what their workshops are and are the boys old enough ...and every time they patiently tell us...but we never make it....until one day early this month that is...
They were making race cars...so I took them...hoping that YaYa would come to be my extra set of hands...
We got in and they had a whole aisle blocked off for the little fellers...and it was pretty stacked...we coudln't find three spots together...well we could have...but they were packing us in....and YaYa had cheerfully agreed to be there....so I just let Coop be the one a few seats down and got him unloading his little packet they have all prepared while I worked with the little boys...
God Love him y'all he is so patient...most of the time...he took everything out and was lining it up while I got the little monkeys hammering away...
And they had the little tiny hammers out for them...they were so excited..I would start the nail for Grady ...had to force Deacon to let me help him...
Once Deacon got the idea he was happily beating the crap out of those nails...in fact we had to ask for an extra part because of a bent nail or part...Whooooops....the little fiercely independent single minded hammer jockey.
Yaya to the rescue...
Reading instructions to the little guy...and he would just naturally get it...
Listening to the other families was even more amusing than dealing with our little handymen.. The woman on our right had two little girls and she was in Waaaaay over her head...frustrated..she ended up strapping them both in the stroller and finishing the cars herself...then the two grandpas across from me had two totally different approaches...one was a slow reader and because he was half as fast as we were and his grandson was half as patient...so he spent most of his time saying..."Whoa...WHOA...slow down..wait a minute....wait a miiiiiiiinnnnute"...
...then the other grandpa complained about the inferior material the whole time.... I kept thinking..."Ummm dude it's free! Were you expecting Bob Vila?"
Another great part was...the boys walking around in their aprons (they got with the set) everyone was teasing them asking them questions like they worked there...they just giggled and giggled over that...well Deacon proceeded to direct them where to go...now THAT was funny...
Any hoo....WAY TO GO LOWES!!! we love it....and we'll be back..
Also Coop had a Fairy Tale and Manners Tea at school the other day...he totally rocked the Hatter outfit...but in the morning...not so much...not so happy...please get the camera out of my face...so sorry this is all I got..
Meantime...the rest of my house is still a Mad house...evidenced here:
And here....what you don't wear goggles to eat??
